Samsung has announced Unpacked 5 – Episode 1 for later this month at Mobile World Congress on February 24th in Barcelona. The electronic giant is expected to unveil its new flagship product-Galaxy S5 which will go on sale by April. Samsung is taking a different turn this year from from last year event when the company ignored the Mobile World Congress for a separate event in New York in March, where it launched its current flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S4.

Although Samsung has not announced any details on the device or devices it plans to launch, rumours have it that the Galaxy S5 will have a 5.2-inch screen with a 2560 by 1440 pixel resolution and a 16-megapixel camera with optical imaging stabilization. There is also a likelihood that the device will come with a 2K display and either an octa-core or a 64 bit processor.
The accompanying words ‘Episode 1’ on the invite also hint at multiple launches in coming days. The event will be live streamed on Samsung’s Mobile YouTube channel, www.youtube.com/samsungmobile for those who are interested in watching the event kicking off at 6:30PM in Barcelona.
