According to Samsung, the award-winning NX30 embodies style and functionality, and raises the bar for compact system cameras all over the world. The product was unveiled at an elaborate event in Ikeja, Lagos on Thursday, March 13, 2014.

The camera boasts outstanding imaging performance, with its 20.3 megapixel sensor, which is capable of capturing high-definition images with sharp, life-like colours that are clear in all lighting conditions. The 3-inch super AMOLED swivel and touch display and unique Tiltable Electronic Viewfinder featured on the device are optimized to provide users with flexible capture angles that are great for ‘self shooting’ and shooting from awkward positions.

Speaking at the event, Managing Director of Samsung Electronics West Africa, Mr. Brovo Kim, described the NX30 as a device that combines the quality imaging of a top of the range camera with the sharing functions associated with smartphones and other smart devices.

The NX30 builds even further on this illustrious heritage. Kim added that Samsung’s NX30 camera has been engineered to offer superior image capturing while maximizing simplicity and ensuring that users are just one click away from seamless connectivity.
Also speaking at the event, Samsung Electronics West Africa’s Director of Information Technology and Mobile, Mr. Emmanouil Revmatas, said the device is a gateway to a new visual communication era and shifts a paradigm in communication. “With the growth of social networking and the prevalence of smartphones and tablets, people today communicate faster than words can manage. There is an increasing need to articulate our experiences through pictures and videos and the NX30 smart camera has been created to lead the way in this new era of visual communication,” he explained.
Revmatas added the NX30 smart camera comes with Adobe Lightroom 5 software pre-installed, a free camera strap as well as an 18-55mm Samsung camera lens.
