More data, more storage! Now you can get an SD card with more storage than the average computer. Popular storage device company, SanDisk, has made the world’s first 512 gigabyte SD card. In their official announcement, SanDisk named the card more than a half a terabyte of storage – Extreme Pro SDXC.
The big deal about a 512 gigabyte SD card is; most Ultrabooks and even Macbooks come with 128 gigabyte capacity and 256 gigabyte is the norm for storage in most PC solid-state disk (SSD) drives. The new SanDisk card is also fast and is got write speeds of up to 90 megabytes per second.
Photographers would love the 512GB SD card as it has the ability to sustain high-speed burst photography. The card is also able to store ultra-high-resolution video footage in real time as it’s rated for 4K video capture. This extra space offers more freedom to videographers to shoot in RAW mode without fear of eating up too much space
SanDisk recognized that huge amounts of precious data would be stored on this card and made it water resistant. The card is a titan and can withstand lots of wear and tear, Users can also download the RescuePRO Deluxe data recovery software to recover any accidentally deleted.
However, the bigger the storage, the higher the price. The 512GB Extreme Pro SDXC, SanDisk card costs about 800 dollars and I bet you it’s worth every penny.
