Signal Alliance subsidiary, Sasware has announced that it has newly invested an undisclosed amount in Medismart, a health technology company based in Lagos, Nigeria. In a statement by Sasware’s Chief Operating Officer, the company explained that it had made this investment in order to take a significant minority share in Medismart. This investment was also provided to aid Medismart in expanding its medical cloud platform which integrates healthcare data.
Medismart is a Nigerian based healthcare startup. Its cloud platform currently unifies data management in the nation’s healthcare industry and ultimately aims to revolutionize healthcare management in Nigeria. Currently, Medicare offers its cloud based platform as a freemium product to most healthcare practitioners and more especially to hospitals. The company says it has connected close to a 100 hospitals with close to 25,000 patients to its platform for free.
This startup is promoted by Obinna Osuji and Damilola Oni. Both of whom have a combined health technology industry experience of 18 years. Speaking on the partnership Oni said, “We believe Sasware is the right partner for Medismarts. Their expertise and experience in technology business will no doubt help us grow the business and become successful.”
Sasware is the technology investment subsidiary of Signal Alliance founded in 2014. The company was established to provide early seed funding for tech startups.
