Leading social media platform Snapchat recently unpublished its Facebook page with over 6.5 million likes, even though not frequently used as its posts on its Facebook page were done many months apart.
The company makes it clear the page was taken down due to its lack of use with its last post dated as far back as August or November 2013, two years overdue.
Nevertheless, some confusion on the genuine reason of the company’s decision based it on it’s strive to sustain its twitter account which currently has more or less of 1.58 million followers.
Snapchat has decided to stay quiet, not commenting on the issue, but it is pretty obvious the social network company might have forgotten they had a Facebook page.
Some would attribute this to the competition between the social network giant and Facebook. Snapchat seems to be keeping close tabs on Facebook, using every opportunity they have to hold their own when necessary.
