Sony has announced another PS5 event for Wednesday, September 16th, 2020 via its’ blog:
Before PlayStation 5 launches this holiday, we wanted to give you one more look at some of the great games coming to PS5 at launch (and beyond!).
Our next digital showcase will weigh in at around 40 minutes, and feature updates on the latest titles from Worldwide Studios and our world-class development partners.
Tune in live on Twitch or YouTube this Wednesday, September 16 at 1pm PDT / 9pm BST / 10pm CEST to see what’s next for PS5.
Although the gaming franchise didn’t give away too much on what the event will entail, gamers around the world are widely speculating that this event will include the long-awaited details on pricing and actual release date for the PlayStation 5, especially as the company opened up a pre-registration portal for pre-orders of the PS5 last month.
Further fueling this speculation is the leaked price details of Xbox Series S confirmed to be priced at $299, which was originally slated to be announced by Microsoft next week, alongside the Xbox Series X priced at $499. A move many believe has forced Sony to revisit their pricing structure for competitive pricing with direct gaming rival.
Sony at its June 11th PS5 event gave everyone a first look at the PlayStation 5, to include hardware and impressive gameplay trailers showing off insane visuals. Come, Wednesday the 16th, gamers around the world will be looking forward to price details on not just one but two of the PS5 consoles: the regular PS5 and the ‘disc-less’ PS5 Digital Edition.
