Spotify Charts: Buju, Lil Durk, Burna Boy, Rema and others lead Nigeria’s charts this week

The newly launched Spotify Charts, featuring popular music in Nigeria, has revealed some interesting data around the artists, tracks, and albums that are trending for the week.

Top Songs 

On the Top Songs chart, Buju’s Italy (feat. Blaq Diamond) peaked at #4. FYN by Rema and AJ Tracey is the highest new entry this week while Big Thug Boys by AV climbed an impressive 46 spots to #68. Omo Ope (feat. Olamide) by Asake has been on the Top Songs chart for 5 weeks straight.

Top Artists 

Buju retained his spot as the longest-reigning artist on the Top Artists chart, with an admirable 5-week stretch. The biggest winner on the Top Artists chart is Wurld, moving up by 89 spots to get to #83. AJ Tracey claims the spot of the highest new entry on the Top Artists, at #52.

Top Albums

Interestingly, the 7220 album by Lil Durk ranks right on top as the highest new entry on Top Albums. International star Drake has the most spots on Top Albums in Nigeria with Certified Lover Boy at #13. SoundMan Vol. 1 by StarBoy is the biggest winner, moving up by 21 spots at #118 while WizKid’s Made in Lagos Deluxe Edition has been on Top Albums the longest, for a whole 5 weeks.
