Taltrix, a Nigerian-based business process outsourcing firm, has named Abraham Akpan as its Chief Operating Officer.
Launched in 2021, Taltrix focuses on helping businesses succeed by providing top-notch talent management and improvement solutions.
Taltrix outsources professional talent in sectors including information technology (IT), banking and financial services, manufacturing, healthcare, e-commerce and retail, media and entertainment, education, and transportation services to both local and international organizations.
Before assuming his role at Taltrix, Akpan served as the Senior Programs Manager at Tech4Dev, overseeing the organization’s programs division.
He spearheaded the expansion of Tech4Dev’s Women Techsters Initiative from five to 22 African countries. He also led several other initiatives to boost digital skills in Nigeria, including the Digital Skills Nigeria program in collaboration with Microsoft, the DigitalForAllChallenge 2.0 in partnership with the Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office. He also spearheaded the planning and execution of the Ekiti State Digital Skills Academy.
Akpan who is a 2021 Mandela Washington Fellow boasts of nearly a decade of experience within Africa’s technology, startup, innovation, and development landscape. His portfolio includes designing, executing, and directing programs aimed at enterprise and human capital development.
Prior to joining Tech4Dev, he was Acceleration Manager at Co-creation Hub (CcHUB), where he brilliantly coordinated programs for esteemed international organisations such as Heifer International, Google, Facebook, Mojaloop, GIZ, African Development Bank (AfDB), and the British Council.
