TikTok edit tool

ByteDance’s video-sharing platform, TikTok has grown in popularity and with its new edit tool there is more room for growth. The social media application took to its newsroom to share a few updates in store for its users around the world. Among these updates are the ability to edit videos within the platform in a more professional way, longer text descriptions for videos and a new photo mode.

With these video editing features that are coming to TikTok, creators will be able to do more on the application. The new features introduce the following abilities to TikTok:

These video editing features will eliminate the dependency of creators on other editing applications. Now, users of TikTok can work on their entire video content directly on the social media application. Users will now be able to trim clips, perform video-in-video edits, and add sound effects all in one application.

The new TikTok edit tool for videos is cool, but Instagram should concern itself with the new Photo Mode. TikTok is rolling out this new photo feature to its users globally, allowing them to express themselves only through photos. Over the years the focus has been on videos now the ByteDance platform is taking the competition to Instagram with photos.

Other users shying away from short-form video content will now flock to TikTok to better express themselves with the use of pictures. The platform is also stepping up its descriptions to 2,200 characters, making it easier for businesses to advertise their products. With these new features coming to TikTok, the platform will become a reel real pain to Instagram.
