University of Liverpool earns APHEA Accreditation

The University of Liverpools’s Online Master of Public Health has received APHEA accreditation. APHEA which stands for Agency for Public Health Education Accreditation, is a globally recognized accrediting body which represents all five leading public health associations in Europe and their accreditation means that the receiving institution’s public health programme meets international standards.

As a result of this accreditation, graduates of the online MPH programme at the University will be gaining a globally recognized degree which assures employers all over the world that they have learned and developed all the competencies required in a public health professional.

Dr. Francine Watkins, Director of MPH Programmes at the University of Liverpool, while speaking on the recently earned accreditation said “APHEA accreditation is important for our students…… Our online MPH programme is essential for professionals working in health services, government agencies and NGOs.

According to the institution, the University’s online MPH students and graduates include professionals in developed and developing countries working in different parts of the public health delivery sector in many countries in areas including healthcare management, health improvement, prevention and health protection.

The online MPH is designed and structured to help working professionals from any part of the world conveniently study public health at postgraduate level without having to quit their jobs so that they are better able to put their new knowledge immediately into their practice.
