To enable consumers to schedule therapy appointments from anywhere, a digital company has launched an app known as Unwind.
During an address at the app’s launch event, Unwind’s founder, Joycee Awosika said “The Unwind app was developed on the premise that individuals require easy access to rejuvenation. It is the only platform in Africa that enables everyone to quickly and easily schedule same-day massage appointments at home.”
She explained that “during the pandemic, people were tired of staying at home and needed that refreshment. The innovation and idea for Unwind, according to Awosika, came from ORIKI, the other company she had started, which was able to offer over 700 spa home services in more than two months.
ORIKI, the first and only all-natural farm-to-skin company to manage a rapidly expanding luxury product and wellness spa brand in the continent of Africa, is just one of the businesses that award-winning entrepreneur Joycee Awosika owns and operates in a number of countries. Joycee has built a name for herself as a tech pioneer, energy economist, and speaker. Her brainchild, “The Unwind App,” aims to give people access to trained massage therapists who are immediately available while also economically empowering those who sign up as specialized therapists through the app.
The app’s capabilities allow users to select, bookmark, and review their favourite service provider as well as their preferred location. Users can also pay with the app, saving them the trouble of dealing with currency exchange.
On Tuesday, June 28, the Unwind App was officially launched at Oniru, Victoria Island, Lagos. Queen Edokpa, the Business Development Manager of Unwind introduced the app while the founder, Joycee Awosika, gave a demonstration of how the app works.
During the question-and-answer session, which was led by the Unwind team — Queen Edokpa (Business Development Manager), Ibukun Ogunro (Operations Manager), Jumoke Soetan (Client Support Manager), and Joycee Awosika (Founder), Awosika went into great detail about everything the app was about.
Additionally, there was an opportunity for guests to experience a complimentary 5-minute massage demonstration.
