I just read on engadget that Blackberry has rolled out video calls on BBM for both the iOS and Android. At the moment though the feature is only available for users in the US and Canada.
‘Me think’ this is coming a little too late, especially as the company says the feature would be rolled out globally in July. Most of us already use other messaging apps like Facebook messenger, Whatsapp, Skype and the like to make video calls. Why did you guys even bother? #nohardfeelings
But then again, this update when it’s rolled out everywhere will give BlackBerry 10 users the opportunity to see who they’re talking to while video-calling across platforms with the app, because prior to now, they were the only ones who had the feature available on their devices.
The thing is BlackBerry 10 users have actually had video calls available on their BBM since 2013. So I find if funny that it’s taken the company this long to add this feature to its app on other Operating Systems.
