Will this messaging app take over WhatsApp?

How NATIVE is revolutionizing community building.

Distributed work is becoming the norm for many tech companies as the pandemic waves around like a never-ending rollercoaster ride. And in spite of all the evolving chaos, startups are still endeavoring to build new tools to keep remote teams connected and communicating in the ways that make them effective and happy.

One of these products is NATIVE, which addresses the issue of sieving out noise from collaborative messaging tools. A messaging app that actually keeps remote teams focused and connected.

Co-founders of Analog Teams: Oladosu Teyibo, Myesha Luster, and Yao Adantor

It is the first messaging product created by Analog, an African distributed software team led by Oladosu Teyibo, and is truly focused on global communications using seamless translation. This means that people speaking different languages will be able to seamlessly communicate.

Native, although currently in beta, it is being built by a community of UX researchers, programmers, and content creators, all working remotely. Just the kind of people with the right insights to create a product that would help teams across the globe collaborate, create bonds, and seamlessly communicate across cultures and languages.

More recently, advancements in cloud-based productivity tools, video conferencing and powerful collaboration apps have made the popularity of distributed work explode. In fact, studies show that by 2025 remote work will equal or surpass traditional office work. The remote-work phenomenon can be said to be driven by companies leveraging distributed teams to address talent shortages. Creating the environment to hire the absolute best talent for any given role, regardless of their physical location.

We believe seamless translation is a big step in making multi-cultural and national collaborations more engaging for not only creatives but everyone. We’re so excited to see how our users utilize this feature after our IOS launch, says Paul Chukwuma (User Acquisition Lead at Native).

NATIVE is launching on iOS, Jan 21.
