X App Delisted from Mac App Store

The X app, the rebranded version of Twitter, has been officially removed from the Mac App Store, signaling a significant shift for users on Apple’s platform. This move follows a period of dissatisfaction among users and a noticeable lack of updates since the app’s rebranding in 2023.

When searching for “Twitter” or “X” on the Mac App Store, users now find that the app no longer appears in search results. The URL to the app also displays a message indicating its unavailability. For new users, this means that downloading the app is no longer an option, and they will need to access X via a browser-based version.

Existing users who already have the X app installed may still be able to use it. However, some have reported issues when trying to use the iPad version on macOS. The app’s removal may be tied to ongoing user complaints about its performance, as it had not received an update for nearly a year.

X, which was rebranded from Twitter by Elon Musk in 2023, has not yet provided an official statement regarding the delisting or any plans for the Mac app’s future. The company is yet to respond to inquiries for further details.
