Likewise, only PS4 loyalists will consider this almost-serious competition, as a total of 1.4 million Xbox game consoles have been sold, and that is between April and June 2015 compared to the 1.1 million it sold last year.
It’s parent company, Microsoft announced that the Computing and Gaming Hardware section revenue increased by an impressive 44% much of which was driven by higher Surface and Xbox Platform revenue. Xbox sales which grew by 27% is attributed to a growth in sales of consoles, Xbox Live transactions and first party games. The 44% increase represents $591 million in revenue.
Also, Xbox Live transactions revenue increased $205 million or 58%, reflecting increased users and revenue per user. And first-party video games revenue increased $63 million or 62%.
