Viral Tiktok and Instagram Reels audio “As It Was” by pop singer Harry Styles has been confirmed by the Guinness World Records as the MOST STREAMED TRACK ON SPOTIFY (2022). “Heat Waves” by Glass Animals was the second-most played track of 2022, and “Stay” by The Kid LAROI ft Justin Bieber came in third.
Harry Styles’ “As It Was” recorded 1.5 billion plays throughout 2022 maintaining the Number One spot on the UK charts for ten weeks and 15 weeks on the Billboard Top 100 in the United States.
In April of the same year, Harry Styles broke the record for MOST STREAMED TRACK ON SPOTIFY IN 24HOURS (Male) with the same song, on the day it was released. It was streamed 16,103,849 times and a week after, on April 8, it also set a record for MOST STREAMED SONG IN A WEEK with 78,460,903 plays. While “As It Was” is the most streamed song of 2022, “Blinding Lights” by The Weeknd’s holds the record for the MOST STREAMED TRACK ON SPOTIFY OVERALL, with 3.39 billion streams as of 6 January 2023.
