The YouTube Music podcast feature will soon be rolling out. This feature has been on the waiting list of millions of users for the past months. With this, podcasters will be able to share their ideas with a wide range of subscribers around the world.
At the Hot Pod summit recently, YouTube’s head of podcasting, Kai Chuk, said that this feature will give those who wish to listen to a podcast a great experience. So, users will be able to catch up with their favourite podcast shows while carrying on with their daily activities.
Already, YouTube offers podcast services on its video-sharing application. But this feature has been unavailable on its music streaming app for years. The introduction of this YouTube Music podcast feature will give podcasters and streamers a new way to share and engage with content.
This feature will launch soon and will become available to users via an update. With this feature, YouTube Music will be able to compete with Spotify, which currently offers more exclusive podcasting features. According to YouTube Music, its focus with podcasts will be on creators.
Creators and streamers alike will get ad-free background listening as well as better library tools. This might attract more users to join the YouTube premium which unlocks more benefits.
