Already, YouTube offers podcast services on its video-sharing application. But this feature has been unavailable on its music streaming app for years. The introduction of this YouTube Music podcast feature will give podcasters and streamers a new way to share and engage with content.
This feature will launch soon and will become available to users via an update. With this feature, YouTube Music will be able to compete with Spotify, which currently offers more exclusive podcasting features. According to YouTube Music, its focus with podcasts will be on creators.
