Youtube Sensation, Emmanuella wins ‘Princess of Comedy’ award in Australia; makes movie debut

Six year old Youtube sensation, Emmanuella Samuel was very recently awarded the Princess of Comedy title at the Afro Australia Music and Movie Awards (AAMMA 2016) held in Sydney as well as Best New Comedienne. The award ceremony is organised by Daniel Okoduwa, a Nigerian resident in Australia and has been on since 2010 recognizing African talent in the diaspora among others. According to its organisers, the AAMMA is the largest gathering of African Australian entertainers in Australia, New Zealand and the Asia-pacific Region. The award ceremony has played host to the likes of 2face Idibia, AAMMA 2016 African Act of all-time, Ramsey Nouah – AFRIFF 2016 Male performer of the year, Mercy Johnson-Okojie, etc. This year, Emmanuella’s double win makes her the youngest recipient of both awards and she is currently on location taking up a more challenging role in a full length feature film titled “Survive or Die”. The movie also stars her uncle Mark Angel who received an AAMMA award for Leadership and Mentorship.
